Martin Brierley
Martin is a multi award winning commercials and film director, whose spots and short films have won awards and plaudits throughout the world. His short film ‘Little Man’ was nominated for Golden Bear in the official competition in the Berlinale 2004 in Berlin. Shortlisted in the top fifteen from over two thousand entries, it was then screened with award winning success around the globe. Martin’s first short ‘Drifting’ was chosen for sponsorship and screening by FilmFour in the UK, screened around the globe, literally, on British Airways flights, and won the Manhattan and Cork Film Festivals.
His commercials are no less award winning with spots for Maxell Tapes - directed under the nomme de guerre of the Molotov Brothers - achieving the accolade of Palme D’Or at Cannes. He has also been awarded gold at the One Show - Optrex, and a further silver at Cannes for Crackanut. He has won many awards in the UK including Best Commercial at the British Television Advertising Awards and gold at the Creative Circle.
